Our Holiday Gift Guide - For your tattooed loved ones

Our Holiday Gift Guide - For your tattooed loved ones

Tis the season to shower your friends, family and loved ones with presents. Or the time so spend some money on yourself! Either way, we have provided you with a list of some gifts that will be adored by even the pickiest of your colorful compadres.

We would be amiss not to mention some of the great apparel that we sell at Unlimited Art. You can get one of our stunning hoodies or t-shirts, like the Blood Skull or the Underwater Skull, or you can have a custom t-shirt created. (All custom orders must be received by 12.15.23 if you want to receive it by 12.24.23)

A staple in most inked folk’s toolbox is going to be some sort of balm or salve to keep those tattoos looking new and fresh. We recommend Hustle Butter. It is a vegan cream made with naturally derived ingredients. It can be used before, during and after tattooing. Check it out at this link here.

Another Unlimited Arts product that you could get for your person with gauged ears, is a pair of our teardrop gauges. These are handmade by our founder and artisan Brad Peasley, and are unique, gorgeous, and even better, they will not blast a massive hole in your wallet. You can get them in a variety of colors, and they range in price from around $40-$75.

Tattoos are not cheap. But there is not one person we know that carries around this sort of body art and would frown at getting a gift card to their favorite tattoo shop. Most shops will offer some sort of gift card or certificate option that you can pick up locally.

One of the quickest ways to fade your tattoos is spending too much time in the sun and not properly protecting your skin, so getting an everyday sunscreen for a gift is not only thoughtful, but you are helping keep your loved one protected. (Ah… How cute!) We recommend Supergoop! PLAY. It is a broad-spectrum body and face sunscreen that is good for sensitive skin. Not only is it 50 SPF, but this sunscreen is also fast absorbing and water and sweat resistant.

Unfortunately, even in 2023, there are still people that look at tattoos in a negative light. Whether it is for a job interview or a lunch with grandma, there is something a tattooed person can do to cover up their tattoos without having to wear a long sleeve turtleneck and gloves.

Dermaflage is a waterproof concealer cream that is used by many Hollywood make-up artists to cover tattoos on their actors. There are 11 different shades so that you can get something close to your skin tone with ease, and the company even offers one free color exchange if the shade doesn’t fit your expectations. The product promises to be smudge proof, so it should not rub off on your clothes and provides all day coverage.

Our last plug for Unlimited Arts is one of our rings. These are again hand crafted by Brad Peasley, and each are one of a kind. We incorporate stones with great healing energy into many of our rings such as Nevada or Arizona turquoise and Larimar stones.

Anyone who knows tattoos, knows that Norman Keith Collins, better known as Sailor Jerry, was one of the most prominent American tattoos artists. Gifting a Sailor Jerry book is more on the pricy side of gifts, so try to find one used. To stay budget conscious, you can find some great flash replica sheets and then have them framed.

Finally, getting tattooed can be a painful and long experience, so a popular way for people to relax and disconnect is to listen to music. There are many different ear buds out there, but we recommend the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II. They are wireless, noise cancelling and have a battery life of approximately 6 hours, so it should get most through their next session at the tattoo shop.

Hopefully one of these ideas will work for your tattoo enthusiast. We recommend shopping small this season and getting something from Unlimited Arts, but we might be a bit biased. Happy holidays from us, and happy gifting!
